The peer pressure got to me.
The weekend started off with my dad telling me that I ought to get twitter. You know that you're behind on the cyber trends when your rents are telling you what's what. Now my dad is cool and fairly tech savvy but there's no way I can have him out tweet me.
The weekend ended with the lowly ML and Isobel asking about my non-twit account. So I caved! It's done, I've gone to the dark side and see an oncoming addiction.

And any twitter tips would be greatly appreciated! I feel lost and confused. Like what does "RT" mean?

RT means retweet, it was started before they added the actually retweet button.
I can see you developing a fierce addiction but hey, that's okay. Everyone will probably enable you to, that's what happened to me!
I felt the same way. I thought Twitter was dumb and would be a waste of time. Then, all my blogger friends started tweeting and, well... if they jumped off a cliff, I would too. :)
Twitter seems easy but takes a little while to get used to because you create your own way of doing it. You pick people to follow and use it in your own way. Good luck!

I have a hard time keeping up with Twitter, I must admit. I like it, but even with the aid of something like HootSuite to organize all my streams, I still find it difficult sometimes to keep up with everyone for some reason. And I'm very old school in that I can't stand tweets that talk about what the person just had for lunch or the fact that they are getting in the shower now. lol But Twitter's still lotsa fun!
And I couldn't help but laugh that your dad was taunting you to get a Twitter! That rocks.

congrats on getting on twitter! I have a hard time keeping up with twitter that sometimes I force myself to tweet, but I guess it's just another step to be "connected", have a great weekend!
