Finding the Beauty in Chaos

With the backyard looking like a disaster zone, it's sometimes hard to see the beauty that lies ahead.  I keep reminding myself that this is the first stage of landscaping.  Gutting out the over gown weeds and  levelling out the ground are essential in taming the backyard jungle.  Soon there will be green grass, stone patio, hanging sun-powered lanterns and flowers.  My backyard oasis awaits.

pretty pictures! I got no backyard so no need to worry about weeding haha, but my front yard is looking kind of yellow these days...

Pretty colors. I'm just learning to garden myself. The best part will be when the plants we nurture actually grow and blossom. Keep up posted on yours!

It all looks lovely! Our backyard barely has any real grass. lol It's all green even though it's weeds, and as long as it's green, we're happy. I love plants and flowers so much, and they really add a lot to an environment...but then I find myself too lazy to care for them, and they die. :( But I have these big visions of huge, fluffy hydrangea and peony bushes everywhere and my own lavender min--field!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love discovering Ottawa bloggers, especially fellow newbies! Looking forward to seeing how your blog takes shape over. Good luck with your backyard oasis! I'm trying the same but on a condo patio. A little less to play with!

Gorgeous oasis! Living in a condo has its perks but I would love a garden or some semblance of green space that is my own!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really enjoy having a backyard to play around in... and look forward to when the mess we made is cleaned up so I can plant more things there.

Jenarcissist @ the closet narcissist I too tend to kill just about every plant I own... Before I start to plant, I have to look at what ones are the most self-sufficient. I hear hydrangeas are really tough ;)
