I've been creeping on blogs and fashion sites for new ideas. Right now I feel like my closet is full of blacks, greys and dark colours. The shapes are fairly classic with some twist but the material is super stiff. The Montreal Fashion week was a little while back, it looks like it was a real good show. !Nu.i was my favorite lineup from what I saw. Pop Champagne and Love K have great pictures of the show.
Recently I just went through the most recent Flare magazine and I'm really wanting spring to come soon. The wind outside is starting to warm up and the last few days the snow has been melting. I'm just ignoring the weather channels claims that another cold front is coming in and pretending that the warmer weather is soon. Hopefully people in Ontario aren't laughing at my wishful thinking :)
There are a few fashion items that are on my want list: ruffled or flowy flower dress, pretty much every item from !Nu.i Spring and Summer'11 Collection, soft coloured light shirts, jacket with oversized hood and a tutu! But I'm thinking that this upcoming season I'll have to thrift & make most of my wanted items. It's shopping or a new bathroom... and I can't believe that I'm saying shopping will have to be cut back. My heart died a little bit but I'll be okay.
Thankfully I do know how to sew, I'm decent at it & my mom hasn't asked for her sewing machine back. There's a few projects that I should finish but that might happen this weekend or maybe in a year. Most likely I will start on a few skirts since they are super easy and will get me back into it. The tutu would be fun to do. I'm thinking I'll make one whatever colour that could be paired under a few flowy skirts of mine. I love tutu's but don't have the full courage to wear just that. A more plain skirt over top might tone it done a bit & make it more casual for daily wear. Or maybe I'm doing that wishful thinking again.

If you want to try something new, why don't you take pictures of yourself upside down? :)
LOL Oh Shybiker, I'm afraid I would fall on my head or end up in bruises. But maybe, just maybe I could figure out a way to do it that body strength is not necessary.
I'm all for this tutu idea, make it happen!! <3
ARGH I know what you mean...winter can be a drag...maybe we can come up with something over tea/coffee this week :-)
Love K
Thanks! I've been meaning to make myself one.
Hey Ashelle, great blog, i am now following you! I totally agree the Nu.I Spring line is amazing!!!! Shopping or a new bathroom, i understand the struggling too lol...renovating my bathroom also ahaha. Shopping spree at Rona lol
I've been wanting to try my hand at making my own clothes for a while now...I only have basic sewing skills but have
made simple non-clothing things, so I thought I'd start with a skirt or vest first so as not to overwhelm myself! (Patience isn't my strong suit in sewing!) Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
