A while back, I had an exciting week where I got to be a part of a photo shoot then an appearance on Daytime Ottawa. Honestly, doing these things was super tiring but fun. My anxiety surrounding appearance and being a focus of attention was high. But I survived.

Looking at the photographs and video still brings up a mass of negative thoughts. But that should change. I have hope that it will change. And I will continue to challenge myself with things that causes anxieties and low self confidence.

I want to say a special thanks to Marilou from Twenty York Street for giving me these opportunities. She was the babe who hooked me up for both of these gigs and the talented, creative force behind 20YS.

You look absolutely beautiful Ashelle!!!!!
I understand that it's really hard to think positively as women for some reason we are conditioned to only see our flaws! We all have flaws but that's also what makes us unique - there's no such thing as perfect, only the illusion of perfection.
You are amazing and good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone! A VERY small percentage of people can do that!
I hope these were learning experiences. We grow when we face scary stuff. The next time you confront something similar, you'll have more confidence.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments. The support you all give is really sweet.
Now that a few months have passed since that shoot, I do look a bit different. Since attending the Eating Disorder treatment program... I'm no longer underweight like in these pictures (even though I don't look overly thin here, I was medically underweight).
I haven't taken any pictures of myself in a couple of months because of this wright gain. I promise to get on track with this blog soon... Just need to grow a little more confidence.
Thanks again for all of you sticking through these emo blog posts.
