Plain Jane Haze

Just posting a quickie.  Today has been crazy busy for me but I've promised myself to do more outfit posts.  I'm no fashionista, but I do adore clothes and pretty things.  Please bare with my crap-tastic camera and impatient photographer (a.k.a. Chris)...

{blazer - thrift / t-shirt - One World Clothing / pants - R&W}

By impatient, I mean not telling me that he was starting to take pictures and wanting to leave after just a few shoots.  Doesn't he realize that non-photogenic people need to have a range of photographs to choose from??

I'm beyond relieved that the work week is almost over.  Even if it means a weekend full of studying for my final exam. Lately, I've been feeling the hermit vibe... maybe it's the rainy weather or the end of term.  Whatever the reason, I day dream of comfy clothes and the naps that are to come this weekend.

Chris should never quit his day job to start a photography career.

That's all I have left right now... Well I'm sure there is more non-sense ramblings left in me but I will leave you with a shout out to Marilou of 20 York Street.   Be sure to check out her blog, I've done a guest post to announce some exciting news!

Quick and a Lil'Dirty

Sadly, I have no dirty quirp at the moment.  And I'm sure some of my good friends are gasping because sex jokes naturally cum out of me. hehe So you know I'm tired when it's just not me.  Maybe Julie from Pop Champagne can add a little sexy humor in this post.  Hint, hint... (psst... Julie that's hint is for you).  It's been a long day and my headache is beating me right now so I'll make this super quick.  Just have to show that I actually made it to the third day of my mini challenge.

 {shirt: RW & Co./belt: thrift/skirt: thirft/socks: Forever 21/shoes... again an outlet in Florida}

Colour Bomb at Hush was a nice event where there was some beautiful and fashionable blogger friends in attendance.  I'll be sure to post later...

Made it to the Second Day

It's a miracle that my attention span allowed me to actually keep the goal of continuing to document my thrifty challenge.  Today people noticed that I was dressed a bit differently.  There was no black or gray to be seen!  It's crazy talk, but I actually managed to not wear any shade between black to gray to white.

{dress as shirt: Forever 21/blazer: Glee & thirft/skirt: Tara Collection & thrift/
shoes: ?? Outlet store in Florida}

Another difference is that I wore my hair in a pony tail all day long.  Usually I avoid this anytime I'm not around friends or at home.  Why? I hate my ears! They stick out and are a little pointy. It might be cute if I was an elf or a monkey.... but I'm not.  So I don't like'em.  Hence all the side profile pictures.

Have you heard of the Colour Bomb? It's an adorable event at Hush... and free!  I'm excited to be going.

My Mini Challenge

To be a little less serious this week I'm going to challenge myself to a little challenge.  Yes, I realize that the aforementioned sentence contained way too many of the same words.  But I don't care.  Tuesdays are my Mondays, and I am beat.  The challenge is to wear at least one item recently bought while thrifting at the local VV. Yesterday I spent much needed time doing my favorite kind of therapy, called retail therapy.  The budget breaking purchase contained a blazer, a new white blouse and a denim blouse for the price of $23.

Today's Outfit

Please excuse the clutter. It's still way too cold to take pictures outside.  My living room is a mess and  I was way too lazy to push the junk out of the way.

{denim blouse: Vixen & thrift/skirt: Reitmans/tights: Forever 21/shoes: Spring}

Maybe not the most daring combination... but it's one of my "comfort outfits". Puffy skirt: check.  Tights: check.  Subtle top: check.  And I'm good to go.  Hope everyone is having a good week thus far.   Personally I'm counting down till Saturday.
