Deaming of Beaches

With the hot and sunny weather, I've been craving a beach day.  What I need to do is 1) convince some of my friends to skip work and 2) find a nice sandy beach close by that we can go to.  Who's with me?!

It's hard to believe that it's already Sunday... Chris is getting a quick XBox fix while I'm uploading some photographs in between boring chores.  Soon we'll be back on the road again to head to Pembroke. We're going to be helping a family member out with some renovations and I also hope to get a quick visit in with my grandparents.  Since 1 p.m. on Friday the time has flown by with tons of running around and fun adventures.  Which I promise to share more on Monday when I hope to have more time.  Until then I'll leave you with a picture of some familiar faces to the Ottawa blogger community:

Saturday was such a beautiful and warm spring day in Ottawa, it was especially nice to have a random bump-in at the end of the photo-shoot.   J {YouGotSquared} was behind the lens... he's a super talented photographer who was also very patient with me and my awkwardness yesterday.  Thanks J & ML for a great Saturday morning.  And I can't wait to see the results.  

Plain Jane Haze

Just posting a quickie.  Today has been crazy busy for me but I've promised myself to do more outfit posts.  I'm no fashionista, but I do adore clothes and pretty things.  Please bare with my crap-tastic camera and impatient photographer (a.k.a. Chris)...

By impatient, I mean not telling me that he was starting to take pictures and wanting to leave after just a few shoots.  Doesn't he realize that non-photogenic people need to have a range of photographs to choose from?? 

I'm beyond relieved that the work week is almost over.  Even if it means a weekend full of studying for my final exam. Lately, I've been feeling the hermit vibe... maybe it's the rainy weather or the end of term.  Whatever the reason, I day dream of comfy clothes and the naps that are to come this weekend.

Chris should never quit his day job to start a photography career.

Since returning to work, everything seems so hetic.  There's so much to catch up on... and very little time to rest.  Lunch breaks are spent at campus picking up books.  Work.  Reading.  School. Attention Seeking Critters.  Chris.  Chores. Procrastinating Activities. There needs to be some serious time management review. 

I really do love fashion.  But I'm no fashionista.























Lately I've felt in a rut when it comes to my wardrobe.  It's hard for me to match things and try new combos.   About half of the times I look like a silly woman trying to be fashionable.

Case & Point.

There is a very good reason for Jake's paw print walking down this mirror.  And, non, he's no Cheshire Cat. It's that he loves when the mirror is laying on the floor and playing on it, the way that cat's do.

Really exciting news (well exciting for this introvert trying to be more daring).  The lovely store Miss Violet Lace posted some pictures from this blog for the Fairytales wig.   Check it out. 

Aren't those shorts just darling?  My dad picked them up while he was in Japan.  I totally adore them and cannot wait until the summer. 

Playing Dress Up

I always do this: not think about what to wear to a party until a couple hours before.  I go into an anxious-like mode and don't have any idea what to wear.  Usually I don't take pictures when I raid my closet to play dress up.  But since this blog and the realization that I can send photographs to my girlie support I've started taking pictures since Ottawa Fashion Week.
