Three days straight with Extra-Strength Cold Syrup has resulted in an intense "brain fart" sense of mind.

It's a good thing.
Instead of being the super emo, the unpleasant to be around, kind.
The little things make me giddy and entertained.
Which is a little nicer to be around.

This video is dedicated to a friend.
After seeing this video, I get the hotness factor of Adam Levine.
I take back my "really"s and "seriously"s.
However, I still think that Captain America is way hotter.

Steamy Snowangels in Tremblant

I've been fairly MIA from blogging and the regular life schedule for two reasons: 1) a trip to Mont-Tremblant and 2) being knocked down with a head cold.  Some people who have already read this are probably things "WTF?!", well I'm still feeling like crap but determined to share my pictures from the Winter Wonderland trip.   The mucus covering my brain cells resulted in major dumbness and I cannot figure out how to upload the pictures from Flickr. So, I caved by coughing up the $5 to load pictures onto Blogger.

Ski Bunnies & Snowboarding Babes

My Love, he was smart in telling me after the trip that he tried out the double black diamonds with his big brother (BTW thanks, Phil!) Maybe he wasn't that smart in telling me because I'll most likely natter at him to wear a helmet from now on.

My Favorite Store in the Village

Way back, my great grandmother was Cree Native American.  I love this part of my heritage but regret being very naive and uninformed.  There are times when I will google Cree & native culture, legends and history but still feel like I know nothing about this part of my family's history.

As some of you will notice, I went back to the old & original style of blogger commenting.  The other one was giving me too much trouble and some people mentioned difficulties with it.  I want to make commenting as easy as possible.  If you have any troubles or suggestions on how to vamp up commenting, feel free to drop me an email.

I've Been Caught!

The talented, sweet and beautiful LoveK has tagged me in a fun little blogger game.  I`m not too sure what it`s called but there`s rules.
  • Thank and link back to the person who originally gave you this award.
  • Share 7 things about yourself.
  • Pay the award forward to 10 great bloggers.
  • Contact those bloggers and let them know they have received the award.

I really enjoyed reading LoveK`s post on her 7 things... and to anyone who hasn't checked her out yet, I encourage you to do so.  She`s smart, wise & fabulous.   Now on to a little information about me...

1. Back in November of 2010, I did a very similar post called "Confessions". In the post I talked about Kasuku, my multiple closets, tattoo wishes, colourful hair dreams, my fear of children and winter-woes.

2. I love doing art... painting, photography, drawing, sewing, crafts... anything!  There's something about producing a piece that is so calming.  Since moving to Ottawa 4 years ago, I have hit an "artist-block".  There's many paintings, drawings and other projects partially completed where I cannot bring myself to finish them.  I've had no inspiration & it's upsetting because it's something that I find a lot of joy in.  One day I'll get back into it.

3. It might not come as no surprise but I used to want to be a veterinarian growing up.  I love helping animals, even volunteered on weekends and during the summer at a pet store while in high school just to be around all the adorable critters.  My favorite part was helping with the training of the big birds. It wasn't until the incident where I fainted in biology class because of a pig dissection... then almost failing my math & science classes that confirmed that vet studies wasn't for me.

4. My ultimate professional goal is to be published in an academic journal.  Technically I've achieved this after 2 years of graduating.  I say "technically" because it was a very short description of a presentation that I did at a congress.  So it doesn't really count.  I want to do research and have the results published.

5. Motorcycles are sexy.  Soon I will start to study for my learners permit to ride this sexy beast (the bike, not Chris... I don't need a permit for him).  My dream bike at the moment is the Ninja 400, in electric blue.  But I'm thinking that bike will have to wait at least another year.  I will have to suck up my fear of the bigger bike and learn to ride on our CBR600.  The love for motorcycles has been with me since childhood.  My  Uncle Rick always took me out for rides since as long as I could remember.  As well as letting me play on the bikes he kept around for parts.  I can't wait for the spring!

6. I have a pretty good shot... it's not as good as my freaky little brother who can hit every single skeet... but if a zombie outbreak was to occur, you'd want me in your survival group.  Along with being able to  shoot, I'm familiar and comfortable around guns.  As a kid, when visiting my Uncle Rick, I would soak up all the knowledge he has about guns. I'd watch and assist with the taking apart, cleaning then putting together, also the making of bullets.  In the last few years I have only gone to the range once each summer.  I realize that there is a huge number of people who hate guns and the violence associated with them.  A part of me can understand and appreciate that... it's upsetting when people use weapons against each other.  In the most respectful way, I have to say that I would be more cautious of the person behind the gun, then the gun itself.  I've been taught to respect the power of destruction the weapon holds and always be cautious.

For anyone interested... that's a 357 mag revolver that I'm shooting below.   I prefer this hand gun the best, mostly because I have the best aim with it.  There are many girls on YouTube shooting  this gun, then hitting themselves in the face due to the kickback.  Rule: totally extend your arm and you'll never hit yourself in the face.

7. My birthday is coming up soon.  I will be 25 years old. It will be a time of pouting.  A 1/4 century old is not cool.  But, I will have three wonderful ladies guest posting for me since I will be taking time off to adequately pout and do things to make myself feel good.

Now it's time to tag 10 lovely bloggers & hope that they will post 7 things about themselves.

Confessions

Today I'm feeling like total shit... after a 14 hour sleep, I'm still tired.  Hence laying around in my PJs with mindless TV on and a warm laptop on my stomach.  I was drawing a blank on what to post until I read Twenty York Street's post on "Sept Confessions". Surely I can come up with seven of my own in between naps and making more tea.

1. This morning my feelings were hurt by my sister's text message: "Why do you never smile in your blog pics?".  Then a good friend, Krista concurred saying that I should smile more.  The lack of smiling is probably partly due to my camera shyness.  I never take good pictures, it takes many trials before I find some decent ones that I'm comfortable posting.

2. If all works in my favor, I'll be adopting a beautiful 19 year old African Grey parrot.  As I was adoring cousin Andrea's parrot and reminiscing on my days working at a pet store with the best part being playing/training these smart creatures... she asked if I would be interested.  Instantly I replied YES! Then turned to Chris with a smile he could not say no to.  Apparently she needs to check to make sure he rson doesn't want the parrot then if not... I would be so lucky to adopt her.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!
3. My clothes are spread out between three places: bedroom closet, one large dresser and the closet in the yellow room.  Each place isn't "full" but there's room to fill it up.  That extra room will be reason to justify any future shopping.

4. There's two tattoos that I really want to get but my indecisiveness on the details is holding me back...i) a dove with a lotus flower in my inner right lower calf to remind me of hope and ii) add onto my existing lower back tattoo of a dragon fly, I feel it's super small and want something more elaborate but what?!

5. Watching the music video of Rihanna and envious of her red voluminous locks... I wish that I was able to dye my hair that red or some other outrageous colour like bubble-gum pink.  But I work in a very conservative/traditional organization which unnatural hair colour would cause problems.  It's hard enough to be considered credible when you are about 20 years younger than most of the people you work with, try doing it with beautiful blue hair.  Urg.

6. Children scare me and babies are terrifying!  I'm not ready to have brats anytime soon.  Being an Aunt is fun and fine by me.

7. I love Canada but my dislike for our winters is stronger... If I was ever offered a job somewhere tropical and hot. Chris and I would be packing our bags so fast that we'd be ready to go as quickly as the plane tickets booked.
